There’s been a lot of interest in a breadmaking workshop, so we’re giving it a go. Rosie Gilchrist, grower and baker at Tamarisk, will lead a workshop, showing how to use our delicious Maris Wigeon flour to create a soft and light sourdough loaf.
Maris Wigeon is a traditional wheat, with a nutty flavour. It makes a delicious bread, but can be tricky to work with. Rosie Gilchrist has been baking with our flour for the last four years, continually refining her sourdough technique until she’s creating delicious soft loaves. She will show you how to work with our flour to bake your own loaf. There will also be a tour of the mill and a walk around the arable fields (weather permitting).
Breadmaking Workshop with an emphasis on Sourdough
Sunday 1st March 2020, 9.30am-3.30pm
£60 per person (concessions available, please ask)
A lunch including fresh bread and vegetable soup of our own produce will be provided, and all materials will be supplied.
Hello, I would like to book onto your bread making course mentioned in February 2020. Could you please book me onto it as I cannot see an option/page to click on for those dates.
Many thanks, Lucy Denly

Hi Lucy,
Ah! You’ve caught me out – we were going to run one in October but it was cancelled, and I clearly forgot to update this page! I have now changed the post to the correct dates, and you can find the event here .
Hope to see you on the course!
