Description
This gentle colour is made by mixing moorit, fawn and white fleeces, creating roughly an average of them all. It is an attractive colour alone and without any embellishment but it also works well with other Shetland colours either in traditional Norwegian or Fairisle patterns or in more modern styles.
Double Knitting is probably the most all-purpose of our yarns. Our Shetland DK gives a robust yarn despite the fineness of the actual fibres. It knits comfortably with plenty of elasticity and give, and offers plenty of scope for all knitters as well as being an excellent thickness for children to work with.
If you want to be creative with natural colours to the full, DK could be the best yarn to choose because as well as the seven Shetland colours, we have it in Chocolate Black from the Hebrideans, three different colours from the Jacobs and a lovely creamy-white worsted Dorset Down.
